Are You Desperate Yet?

We are entering into a season of witnessing the greatest harvest ever, where healings and evangelism will surely increase. But one of the greatest Desperationend time gifts to be released will be that of desperation.

A burning and hunger for God like never before will cause us to delight in knowing that we must fall prostrate before God when He reveals Himself. God can do nothing for us until we recognize our limits of what is possible and allow Him to do the impossible.

It was during a time of desperation that God released a gift of creativity to me in the form of prophetic painting. That has proved to be as great a miracle as raising someone from the dead. In this place of desperation I was allowed to hear His voice like never before.

Let your desperation for Him take you into His unlimited possibilities.

Testimony
Breaking a curse hindering creativity

While painting at a recent conference, a woman approached me for prayer. She was very distraught and could no longer hold back her tears. She explained that twenty years ago her mother had spoken negative words about her art. They were a curse set against her creativity and talent. She knew that God now wanted her to creatively express what He was showing her, but her mother's words from her childhood had created a wall.

After praying to break those word curses off and speaking life into the creativity and giftings He had already placed in her heart, her countenance completely transformed. She looked like a totally different woman with great hope in her eyes. I encouraged her to carry a pad and colored pens with her to jot down her revelation and to be faithful in the baby steps of her own prophetic art journey.

I love to hear your stories of how art or prayer for a creative release has changed your life in some way.  Please share them with me at janice@jvcartworks.com with your approval to share with others.  There is great power and freedom in your testimony.
